REFLEXOLOGY IN A NUTSHELL - Oleg Chrupalo

Reflexology in a nutshell

Reflexology in a nutshell

Reflexology treats the whole person, as illness is caused by a number of reasons, including an inner problem that has weakened the body’s natural defenses.

The aim is to heal and strengthen the body by removing any obstacles to well-being, and improving the energy flow.

A person runs on ‘vital energy’ and is carried to every part of the body in a system of channels called meridians, much as the blood is carried to and from the heart in veins and arteries.

These meridians cannot be seen under a microscope or take a sample for analysis.

Like emotions or the soul, our life force exists at a level we cannot see.

The body is divided into 10 vertical zones, starting from the top of the head, branching out to end in the 10 fingers, with the main branches ending in the toes, and each part of the body is represented by a reflex point on the foot or the hand, and another branch of reflexology is found on the ear.

A specialist in reflexology aims to help the body’s energy circulate effectively without blockages, energy loss, or stagnation, and inputting imbalances right, that stimulates the body’s healing processes and preferably, to prevent illness from developing.

For example, there is a powerful point on the bottom of the ball of the foot, right in the center, which is called the solar plexus point, and by working on this reflex point, it relieves stress and replenishes energy, calming distress and dizziness.

I will use reflexology during massaging to help people’s energy circulate throughout the body.

When you have a headache or pain, there is a blockage which has to be eliminated, and by working on your feet and hands the blockage will be removed, and this is reflexology in a nutshell.

More Reflexology knowledge

Laughter strengthens the immune system and that people who go to religious services tend to live longer.

Emotions play a vital role in our physical health, and depression and anger are the best known problems, however, all kinds of emotions can tip the balance.

If you are feeling angry or upset when you’re eating, the resulting bout of indigestion is not totally unexpected.

Now researchers are starting to admit that we respond to forms that just don’t fit the mechanical modes, and that our gut feelings were right, and frustration can affect the working of our intestines.

Anger and depression increase the risk of heart disease, and when people develop a life-threatening disease, a loving marriage is one of the best aids to recovery.

Working on the zones through the feet and hands, helps to harmonize all our systems – mental and emotional as well as physical.

While it is important to tackle the causes of stress, hands-on energy-moving practices such as reflexology, can do much to help, as that will ease the symptoms, giving you more strength to work on your problems, and the very act of stopping what you are doing in order to work on your pressure points – or having someone give you a treatment – can be calming, as this frees the flow of energy through the body.

A good reflexology treatment can be deeply relaxing, moving tension to ebb out of the entire body, and of course, any kind of massage can relieve stress, as the long strokes are as important, from this point of view, as is the work on pressure points.

Enjoyable emotions such as happiness, are good for the body as well as the mind.
